🔸Smart Contracts & EVM

Within the network, smart contracts operate and are preserved in a distinct setting referred to as a 'virtual machine' (VM). The SatNode blockchain presently offers wide-ranging compatibility with the Ethereum virtual machine (EVM), ensuring that any smart contract or decentralized application (dApp) deployable on Ethereum or other EVM-compatible blockchains can seamlessly operate on SatNode. This includes compatibility with standards like TL20 and ERC721, without necessitating any changes to the smart contract's code. Beyond processing transactions, the nodes within the SatNode network also continuously maintain and refresh the code and existing state of smart contracts. These smart contracts, essentially persistent computer scripts, are accessible to anyone through transactions that call upon their functions. Each smart contract possesses its own account capable of holding token balances.
